the afforementioned catty jam has been moved to october 24th, contact keith terra or someone from panamoka about that.

confirmed sponsors for the jam we're hosting at GARRETT'S TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING consist of fbm, profile, tree bike co, and the tat shop. i forgot how time consuming organizing a jam can be so expect there to be more in the upcoming weeks confirmed...but just the crew of people coming will be worth making it out to the jam. shredders are rumored to include the front fam of past and present, jimmy trupia, the infamous gno, frodo baggins, and the karate kid of queens. if you dont know, then get to 8 DAWN DR. CENTEREACH, NY on sunday the 8th of november and watch the mania. props oughtta come out.

the only set in stone things about the jam are best trick on the grindbox. it will be 5 bucks to enter the comp and a buck to spectate. there will be music and giveaways, specifics will unfold as time goes on. keep an eye out for the flyer, feel free to repost anywhere and everywhere.

grind box jam/ contest

On November 8th, there will be a grind box contest/jam... the jam will be hosted at Garretts Tattoo Shop in Centereach , NY.There will be a shiton of prizes and give aways. Have to be 18 to enter the contest, only because prizes may consist of gift cards for the tatoo shop. Who knows?I will be posting further details soon once we get everything situated. spread the word.. it should be a good time.Also on this saturday there is a catty woods jam being held at panomoka.. to help save the woods. As for nicks previous posts, we are starting the front again, and we are going to do it right.updating the site throughout the week,updating with pictures of the sessions we have, and trip updates. we're gonna try and get the purpose of this thing across to everyone we tryed to in the first place. ride your bike, and have a good time doing it. since the last time we had this running i have realized a bunch of different things. bmx isnt exactly what it used to be. waking up.. going down the block to the local "jumps" every morning (and being that you dont have a cellphone)and your freinds are just there. riding all day, and then going home when it gets dark out. wake up.. do it again. i dont know if i am trying to save a part of my youth or what, but i want that good vibe back.

im going to stop yapping your ear off and post some pictures of what we have been up to, and some of the trips we have been on recently.

PERHAPS...its time for a change around here.

To keep it short and sweet, this site will be resurrected in the hands of Frank and myself in our spare time. I haven't spoken to any of the guys from the last time around but I can assure that Francis Spinelli, James Johnsen Jr., Robert Blacharski, a young lad by the name of Jeffrey Purdy, Reef-er man Christopher Kaznocha, and within a phonecall, im sure a few more will all be involved in the future posts, whether they contribute photos, video clips, or words.

Within regards to my thoughts on the grand scheme of the BMX industry, i think its pretty safe to say we all know how I feel about it, but what hasn't been touched upon enough in my ranty posts of days and nights passed is that I still ride and I still think that there is a whole lot of things that the newer generation just haven't been shown. Its not someones fault if they don't know about how things were with riding, they just have to have the right amount of influences on both sides of the spectrum to formulate their own opinions.

In retrospect, I guess I regret being too opinionated; Not only the riders themselves, but the culmination of everyone involved and the shit people were throwing down for the video alone was going to make a stink whether I wrote a damn word about ANYTHING or not. Perhaps I spoke too soon, got the attention of some assholes who spoke up about whatever it is they thought about what I was saying, but that was the idea right? Either way, the way I intended this whole thing to start out as is how I intend on carrying it until it breaks into a million pieces again or until I accomplish what I want to accomplish.

Now, onto bigger and better things...

Here are some pics from the last two days of riding, with the exception of the one of Rob in shorts, thats just a leftover from whatever kind of summer we actually had, and the one of me Frank took being COLD not TOUGH under the bridge in NYC last night. Today would have included owls head shots but they apparently want to be closed only on my two days off. We obviously found that out the hard way by driving all the way out there three deep in a barely 2 seater S-10 pickup just "to get a slice, fugghedduboudit....ovahea."

Texas trip in the cards, we'll see how it actually pans out though.

the show is on beacon street in brookline at the ART INSTITUTE OF BOSTON 700 Beacon St. and its in rm. 215. AI is a stones throw from the T stop and its only 5 bucks. Starts at 5pm and starts with a vegan potluck, actual music at 7. Definately worth going to.

Sinaloa is chaotic and is in the conversation-only-vein of bands like ampere braid (frankie welfare boy) indian summer twelve hour turn and pg.99.

Slingshot Dakota is a lamens terms perfect morning-blend of Minus the bear and Mates of State with a super duper front-woman and some kick ass technical music.

Either way, those are the only two bands i know and Id go specifically for them if I lived in boston, or had off. So go. Add them on myspace, go eat some vegan food, support travelling bands, and rock out for only 5 bucks.
